RAM allocation

Hi! I just downloaded the latest version of PUCK (2.3.65) and I allocated 8GB to the RAM usage. In the .bat file I can see that allocation, but when running the app (on a very large data set) my PC is using only 1,412MB max of RAM. Is there anything I can do to improve both CPU and RAM usage?
